so does someone want to share a dealer name with good pricing?

I went back to my dealer that I originally bought my warranty from to cancel it. He asked me why and I told him I got a better deal from another Toyota dealership, nearly half off. He played Mickey the Dunce and said he had never heard of deals like this, yeah right! I asked him if he could match that price, he said he would talk with his Toyota Rep and get back to me. I even offered him to give me the difference ($585) in Toyota products suggesting they install a remote starter and give me the rubber floor mats when they come back in stock. We'll see!!

Note: if you financed your warranty you don't get the $ back, they apply the cost to the principal of your loan. My Finance Rep failed to tell us this, he only said we could cancel within 60 days.

The finance guy at Toyota of San Diego quoted me a 100k warranty for $2600. I just laughed, told him I would give him a fair $900 and he said impossible. I showed him Troy's quote (which I will buy) and he then asked if I would pay $100 over his cost of $1200 and he showed me his book. I still declined and will be calling Troy in a couple of weeks.

What a rip off!!! They also were pushing and alarm without autostart for $750. Then to top it off they had told me the absolute best rate they could do was 5.99%. I should them my preapproved financing for 3.8% and they magically were able to match it.

Boy was the finance guy pissed. The sales guy was really cool though.

I got the 125,000 ml for 1135$, my dealer was gonna give me a 75,000 for 2500$...what a big hearted b*sturd...lol

I also did a toyota Visa card which allows me no interest for 6 months, and helps Troy out a bit from a sales advantage.

Believe it or not the dealer we bought our 10 4Runner from is going to match Troy's price! They're going to issue me a check for $585 or apply this amount to use for accessories. I'm debating on which offer to take. I was thinking about a remote starter but for nearly $600 (dealer installed) I may opt for for the check as I can have a local guy install one for a fraction of that price. Other accessories (rubber mats, hood protector, sill protectors) being considered too but as of now are not available.

Well I guess I need to chime in here. Two weeks ago I picked up my 2010 4Runner TE and when I was closing the deal the Busines Manager. asked if I was interested in extending my service agreement. She told me the 6 Yr/100K deal was around $2000. but she could do it for $1500.I told her I was not going to spend a single dollar more on this truck. She said ok. Toward the end of the paperwork she asked again if i wanted the Extended Service Agreement, and that she would give it to me for FREE. That's right FREE, because if she wrote it up she would receive a $50 commission check from the bank, and she wanted the 50 bucks. I said ok and just received all my paperwork in the mail today. So there you have it....... It's all a scam to get as much money out of people before the deal is closed. I don't know if she really liked me or just wanted the $50 so bad. I know it was a very good deal for me. Don't let the dealer pull you pants down and turn a good deal on the truck to a shit deal at the very end.

I got the 6yr/100k bumper to bumper warranty thrown in for free also.That, along with Lojac,GAP Ins. and Life Ins.or else I was going to finance with my Credit Union.Toyota Finance is going to make money on finance charges on the deal so they want your business.I have excellent credit so they know that is money in their bank already. Make them earn it.

EVERYTHING is negotiable.Of course they said -NO WAY.... til I got up.Then they had the one time only manager special of the day .If your not getting up to walk out at least 5 times your not doing something right. This was the 7th new auto bought in my life and learn something new each time.

good info.just got 2010 4runner and was told by dealer toyota had special offer for loyal customers.so i purchased 8yr 75000 ex warr.was told toyota was selling at cost.so i bought for 1475 which of coarse list price.was not happy.cancelling now,but not happy with dealer that lied and try to cheat me out of alot of $.so be careful when purchase.you saved me alot of money,thanks!

If you financed the warranty and choose to cancel it they apply that money back to your loan balance, they don't issue you a check. I found this out after speaking with Toyota. I was in the same situation, paid $1360 for a 4 yr / 125K warranty and then found out I could get it from another dealer for $775. My dealer has since matched that price and has submitted the paperwork to Toyota to have the $585 difference applied to our loan. If your dealer won't match it I suggest you call Troy Dietrich at the dealership noted below, nice guy, he was the one who offered me the $775 price.

Just got this from toyota greenfield today.

I am currently offering the Toyota Platinum 6 yr / 125,000 mile Extra Care
plan w/ $0 deductible for $1135.00, or the 5 yr / 125,000 mile plan for $915.00
on the 4Runner.

Has anyone gotten better for either of these two plans?
