That would just slightly be over the original factory warranty, so sorry about that :-)

The 4runner is one of the most reliable vehicles on the road. Why would someone want to spend what I assume are thousands on an extended warranty for this truck? I have yet to read about someone needing a major motor or drivetrain repair. Seems bonkers to spend that kind of money, especially on a vehicle like this.

KDSS is a $1700 option. Repair is $3K. If you live near road salt, you will need a repair unless you doctor with dielectric grease. Ask me how I know.

If you done suspension work to your car would it be under warranty still? I’m gonna assume most members on here do. I don’t think the dealer would want to fix it?

I bought my 2011 CPO, platinum warranty.
So far:
High side A/C hose
Front calipers
Master window switch
Drivers door panel (do to the mechanic
replacing the window switch)
Radio.
The door panel and radio alone paid for the warranty
Still have 40,000 left on warranty too.
So the warranty is for much more.
I agree with you as extremely reliable!!!

I am curious though ... the front calipers and A/C hose were covered? It seems that most of the stuff that you would need done would not be covered. I had purchased the warranty as well as the Toyota care maintenance from the dealer but I ended up cancelling both. I figured that most things that needed to be covered would end up going bad under the warranty they supply upfront (the first couple years)
I am not knocking anything/anyone ... in my case, I had paid WAY over what it was worth because the dealer was screwing me.

Yes they were.
The items are not"wear" items.
With the brakes, pads and rotors are not covered, the calipers are.

Can I purchase a Toyota Platinum VSA for a used 4Runner?
If I purchase a used 4Runner from a private person, say a 2020 TRD Off-Road, with 30,000 miles on it, can I purchase a Toyota Platinum VSA for a used 4Runner before the 3yr/36,000mile cut-off? Or can I only purchase a Platinum VSA for a used 4Runner purchased from a Toyota dealer? Thanks from Tucson, AZ.

Platinum VSA for a 4Runner
I am getting ready to purchase a USED 2020 or NEW 2021 TRD Off-Road Premium 4Runner, (with less than 35,000 miles on it if it’s used).
Can I please get a quote on a Platinum 8yr/125k mile and a 10yr/125k mile VSA. A few years ago, I did purchase a Platinum VSA for a 2018 Prius from a similar forum thread. Thanks from Tucson, AZ.

@ gamester5
I'm buying a new TRD Off road in the next week or two (whenever it shows up at the dealer) and would like a quote please for a platinum warranty. 8/125 and 10/125 if you can.

As long as it is below the factory warranty time and mileage you can get these deals.
