just closed my 5th gen deal
Hello,my name is Ken and I am new to the 4runner fourm/family. I just closed a deal on a new 2010 sr5 4runner blizzard and tan interior, I hope it works out to be as good as the test drive.
My story on this car is strange,I started with an early 2007 fjc car was a great street pounder, but when I went off road in Colo on a tough trip from durango Colo to telluride Colo the top heavy center of gravity of the car caused it to roll and cause a bad day all around and some hospital time, in march of this year I settled with the ins co and thought I would go back to what I had thought was the best 4 wheeler ever the Jeep wrangler, boy was I wrong,it was the worst ride ever,oh did I mention In the roll over I broke my neck, my arm and both legs so I started a quest to find a new 4 wheeler that would meet my new needs and all of my old needs of a 4 wheel drive. The jeep had only 2,000 miles on it, I just could not drive it and I needed to get the necessary money that I had paid for the jeep, and the news was great after many brand/model test drives I deceided on the 4runner, now find a dealer who would believe my story so after about 8 dealers I found on that bought the jeep for what I paind and gave me $1300 off the 4runner boy am I happy car is enroute cannot wait to get it.

No offense but but a rollover is most likely driver error especially off road, the FCJ is a beast off road. Enjoy your 5th gen, I hope your not the first to test the side curtain airbags.

Get over the spelling and stuff. The guy says that he broke his neck, arms and both legs. The point of the post is he bought a new 4Runner because he feels that it will be great for him.
So congrats on getting a new car and I hope you won't have any accidents in it (might review if there were any other reasons that led to rolling it that you can avoid in the future)

Ok, I rolled the fjc and with the insurance money I thought I would go back to a jeep, so I bought a 2009 jeep wrangler x unlimited 4 door. But because of my injuries the ride and handling of the jeep made it impossible for me to drive it more that 10- 15 min. That is the reason that with only 2,200 miles on the jeep I went on search for a new 4 wheel drive and have decided to buy the 2010 4runner, hence the reason I am on this forum Ken

I'm glad you are recovered. But it seems to me you are not fully recovered since you cant ride in the jeep for long.
Seems like you rolled that FJ pretty hard. A simple roll over you should be able to walk away.
Did you roll over your FJ down a hill and a rolled a few times?? How many times it rolled over? Waring a seat belt? Hope you passengers were okay!
Best of luck to your recovery.
