I didn't know we had that option.. Are you referring 4x4 high?

I'm referring to 4HL, it's my understanding that the L means the differential is locked.

I have to admit... I have NEVER been a fan of pearl white but man it looks great on the 4R. My wife and I saw one when we were walking out of Subway tonight and it's just amazing. 99% sure that's the color we'll be getting at this point...

Not a limited, see the keyhole on the hatch?

I have some 3m Carbon Fiber Di-noc comming in this week, so if i have extra, i may wrap the drivers handle and see if it effects the smart key..... If not, i will be ordering some satin black wrap! Ill post up the results as soon as i get it figured out!

As long as you only cover the front part of the handle you should be fine. If you look from the top down you can see how the chrome stops and the back part of the handle is a separate piece. This is the piece that detects your touch. Only cover the front and you should be golden.

Keep us updated!

The front is touch sensitive too. Those 3 lines on the top of the handle are where you touch to lock the vehicle.

I'm curious to hear how it turns out as I've been wanting to black out my door handles. You can experiment with the sensitivity by holding something in your hand while touching it, like a thin glove, paper, etc. It seems to work fine with something in the middle, so I don't see why a few coats of spray paint or plastidip would break it.
