there is a ton of fishing to do up here. you can get a pair of waders and fly fish the lower streams and creeks for steel heads and trout most of the year. there are so many lakes here that some don't even have a name! especially the ones in the back country that require 4x4 access.
theres carp fishing and bass fishing as well in some of the smaller lakes a few hours drive from my home. honestly, one of the best ways to spend a lazy sunday afternoon with a six pack to keep ya company
once ya get tired of pulling monster rainbows, cutties and dolly's out of the lakes and rivers its time to head out to the fraser area around lillooet where you can pull out monster 700lb sturgeons.
if that aint your thing, heading a few hours out on boat will get you to areas that you can land multple halibats weighing around 200lbs a piece. ling cod that are over a meter long put up a helluva fight around here and they can be caught just off the rocks if ya know where to fish.
of course if you like seasonal fishing there is the steel head and salmon runs that occur at different times of the year.
