Yes - I would use my company's UPS number for shipping so that would not be a issue.

I go across the border about once per month, so if there is a way to do this without me dealing with money? The mudguards are not boxed though, they are in a sealed plastic bag.

I'll have to call the dealer here and the US customs to see if this would work...

Might be better to do more than 1 set at a time if there is interest...

I would be more than interested in being the first. Not sure how to do without $$ invloved unless I would pay the dealer with a cc. Would you ship from US or Canada. Either way I don't think Customs would matter as it would be a personal type thing. Or NAFTA. No biggie either way.

I would think the best would be to find a dealer up there that would ship direct and maybe pay you a commission

Let me know!

OK, I called us customs and it is a no go, you have to declare a commercial entry, yikes

Canadian dealers are reluctant to ship due to the cc frauds...

This is tentative... IT HAS NOT BEEN APPROVED YET
But, I found a dealer that might do 20% off on a group buy of 10+. That would be around $110.00 (part # PU06089100P). You would pay with a cc and they would ship via UPS but you must have a UPS billing account for shipping and make sure you ship the cheapest "UPS Standard Delivery" or you pay up to $250 for shipping instead of below $50.00.

They do not want to pay for shipping and are leery about US CC cards, lots of problems.

I think anyone can set up a UPS billing account..

Are there 10 people interested,,,

If not, I can pass on the name of the dealer and you can try to figure it out on a case by case basis.

Or are there any US guys that want to try to work this out,,,

I can't take it any further....

Count me in for sure! I have a corporate FedEx account I can use. If that is no good, I will look to set up a UPS account. Otherwise, I will be crossing the border in January and pick up a set myself. But would much rather get this group buy together!

Can somebody run (part # PU06089100P) this part number past a US dealer just to rule out that possibility...

There is no duty when shipping within North America - see NAFTA.

The credit card issue is sort of bogus. They can charge the cards and ship 5 days later to ensure the cards are not stolen.

Anyway, I'm interested but none of the dealers returned my calls / email.

For those that do not have a UPS number you should be able to go to a local UPS store and use theirs.

Yes, a real PITA. I went through this trying to get stuff from the US, found the loopholes. But for Canadian dealers, there is no US market for them as all parts are cheaper in the US, so they are not set up for it.

No duty, but if I take it over the border, then ship I am required by law to fill out forms and do a commercial import. Insane

The biggest problem for the Canadian Dealers is the shipping cost and reimbursement. So. if you have an account with a courier, they only need to accept payment for the item.

IMPORTANT >> ensure that it is shipped the lowest priority. Otherwise big bucks

If there aren't 10 people. I'll pass the dealer info to you guys and see if you can work something out individually.

The dealer that I spoke with is here on the west coast..

This guy is on the East coast... someone called him about the running boards maybe he will ship?

Toyota Canada OEM Mudguards - 2010 Limited install (2011 Canadian Limited standard equipment)

(part # PU06089100P)

No instructions but all screws and clips included

You need a short Phillips-head screwdriver for the screw behind the rear tire

The credit card issue is not bogus. It is very real. People try to use stolen credit cards to buy stuff all the time via internet and phone.. ID theft is also an ongoing crime which resulted in strict rules and mandatory CC regulations to prevent unauthorized credit issuance.

Let's say a stolen CC number was used to purchase the goods and the actual cardholder disputes the unauthorized charge after noticing it on his statement. There is nothing the dealer could do about it because the credit card company automatically withdraws the funds back from the merchants account. There is a 6month limit for disputes but it happens all the time. This doesn't happen when you purchase something in person because they swipe the credit card and make you sign for the print out and/or they take the imprint of the card along with the signature.

I have 15 years experience being a merchant and I myself do not except overseas credit cards and except those issued in the US only with a completed CC authorization form if it's a phone purchase.

Found another dealer that is interested, they are looking into logistics with UPS to see if it is doable, will get back to me next week.

Lots of paperwork for US Customs when they ship, most dealers don't want to do it.

The parts with brokerage and shipping could total close to $200 which makes them pricey.
