Just installed my Husky Mud Guards. I was somewhat concerned about the fit initially, but they went on really well.

You can sort of see the coverage in this picture. They seem to stick an inch or two outside of the stock wheel and tire setup. They definitely make the truck beg for more aggressive tread, though.

Install was stupid easy other than getting the vinyl "paint protector" to install correctly. It wasn't cut exactly to the curvature of the fender and I'll be anxious to see how well it holds up. I have a feeling I'll be ripping them out of there after they start coming off the paint. I have the exact same issue with the vinyl on my mountain bikes. Dirt and water eventually get back there and prevent it from sticking.

Mud Guard Install

Did you drill holes in the fendor or use only the existing holes? Did you use the lock nut clips or the Toyota fastners. Just want to minimize the opportunity for future rust.

Husky only requires using the current holes. On the front, you reuse 2 Toyota fasteners and use a lock nut clip on the 3rd hole. On the rear, you use 3 lock nut clips. Simple install and I'd have no worries about rust. They are seriously easy enough to install that you could remove them for summer or offroading trips if you wanted.

Lots of paperwork for US Customs when they ship, most dealers don't want to do it.

The parts with brokerage and shipping could total close to $200 which makes them pricey.
Any news?

Well, dealers interested so far.. These are results of my initial contact, so nothing is for sure.

Canadian 2011 Toyota 4runner Limited OEM Mudguard (part # PU06089100P)

Fits US Limited for sure (with US sidesteps) and probably the US SR5 but I dunno.

I tried to figure out the cheapest way to get them and ship them but I'll have to leave that up to you guys.. You have to deal individually, I can't guarantee that they will do it and don't be afraid to ask for a discount...

Shipping can make it expensive. They list at $130 plus taxes, the Canadian dollar is now almost 0.01 higher than the US $. All costs in it could be up to around $200 bucks but that is a guess.

I have a few more dealers that are yet to get back to me...

So, try these..

This one is on the East Coast, they are willing to try but aren't sure of the cost.. This one seemed to be the most willing...to try one first and see if it works ok..

I did not ask about discounts..

Acadia Toyota - Moncton NB area Toyota dealer in Moncton. Moncton NB Toyota dealer Dieppe New Brunswick Toyota Riverview NB Toyota dealer Saint John New Brunswick dealer

They asked to email the request.. if that fails call them..

[email protected]

On the West Coast

This dealer was interested and asked that you contact them to see if you can work something out. They were considering a 20% off for a 10+ buy but not confirmed. I can't take that any further, but I am located near to this dealer if you need some help, let me know.

***ELLIE***contact

Toyota Car Dealer Surrey BC | Contact | Jim Pattison Toyota Surrey

Also in the West

This dealer was initially interested but has not got back to me.. The taxes are lower in Alberta.. This dealer is a real maybe

Lethbridge Toyota | Used Toyota dealership in LETHBRIDGE, AB T1J 4T9

It is all plastic no drilling into metal for the OEM ones

I just receieved the following reply:

I have taken this question to Toyota Canada and have been advised that we are not able to sell and ship to international destinations. If you were able to arrange to have someone here purchase this part for you we could sell to them but we cannot, at this time sell and ship to the US. Sorry for this. Thank you and have a great day.

To which I replied:

Thanks for the reply. Would it be possible for me to pay via credit card and have somebody local pick it up?

And received the following:

Yes, but I would have to set up your account with his local address. When you order the part I will need to create an account for you and it will need to show a Canadian address with a Canadian phone number. We will then call this person and arrange for them to pick it up and bill it to your credit card. We can make a note on the order to advise you by e-mail that the part is here. I hope this works for you.

This is unbelievable.....its not like we're trying to buy guns or explosives....they're damn mudguards. What could possibly be their justification to stop people in the US from getting mudguards?

What is this Cuba, man

I am also waiting for some Dealers to get back to me, another option might be sending a certified check to the Dealer. If it is near me I could take it to UPS and send it out on your account. You need an invoice with your name and address to go through US customs.

They all claim to have burned too many times with stolen Credit card orders over the phone...
