Locations for Rear Diff Breather Ext.
I have seen where some of you have placed your Rear Diff Breather Ext. in the gas filler area and some of you in the jack area.
Has any one put it in the engine compartment area?
If not, Why?
If so, Why?
Thanks!!!!

i ran mine along the frame to the engine bay.
why i did it?
i didnt want to cut the rubber in the gas tank or have to hassle with bringing it up into the jack area.

Thanks!
That is my prefered choice as well. Where in the engine compartment did you place it? Any lessons "learned" that might be helpful for me?
I know this is asking a lot but could you give me a picture...if you think it would be helpful?
Thanks!

i'm over seas right now so i wont be able to give you any pictures but its relatively simple to do.
if you look in the engine bay you'll find the existing breathers for the other parts of the vehicle. you could run it up to there. having a second set of hands to help is nice. i believe it is on the right side when you are facing the engine.
i ran mine up to somewhere on the left side of the engine (when facing it). cant quite remember where.
i ran mine along existing lines using cable ties to hold in the fuel line for the breather.
good luck.

i'd imagine that it should since the engines are the same across the board.

Yep ,Limited has them. The tranny and transfer case breathers come up right in middle of the back of the engine. Also the one from the front Diff comes up on the left side, by the battery.
You have to get up under there and look. Be especially careful that the breather line your running doesn't come in contact with moving or hot parts under there.
I just ran mine up in the left rear wheel well and zip tied it to the gas filler neck in several places.Easy, took about 5 minutes with 5 ft of fuel line and the adapter. It is run right up under where the gas filler cap is but I did'nt cut a hole to bring it to the outside like some. It sits at 42 inches high and I doubt/hope not that I'll go in water that deep considering my intake sits at 46" high.

obvious question perhaps, but just confirming: so is the rear diff the 2010's only breather that isn't already routed to the engine bay by the factory? e-locker breather is high and dry too?
