N-Fab step-up / running boards for Trail Edition

Has anyone ordered and installed these? Looking at the pictures on the website it's hard to tell but the driver's side front step looks a bit too forward (towards the front tire). Is it in an awkward location?

N-fab: Manufacturers of Nerfsteps, Prerunners, Harley Bars & Truck Accessories

I like the look of these but I'd like to hear from someone who has them if possible.

TIA.

They seem to have them mounted on a Limited or SR5 - the picture isn't a TE. It's got the gigantic rocker panels & bumpers of the "effects package".

There has been a couple discussions on this on various threads. The nfab picture is of an SR5, however that was special made. As they mention on their site, the product will only fit a TE. This is because NFAB says it attaches to the mouldings and not the entire frame. How do I know this? I picked up the phone a couple months to call and ask

Also, I do not know of anyone on the forum with those steps.

There is a link on youtube on the NFAB runner in the picture out in Moab (I do not remember where it is). When I was talking to NFAB they mentioned that those steps got damaged when he hit a rock. This is to be expected since the metal tubing used is not strong enough to take an impact (like all nerf bars)

Hey guys, Dont mean to hijack the OP's post, but I just installed my TE's aftermarket running boards and am happy to report that they fit and look "almost" OEM. I know that finding good rb's for the TE can be frustrating, so I am attaching a link to my original post with some pics.
Again, apologies to the OP. Just trying to help the forum & all 5th gen TE owners out!

I've got them on mine. The step is in the right place. It's centered on the foot-well not the door. I'm happy with them. I've had the same product on my FJ for 3 years and they have no problems. As stated in an earlier post, they are not sliders, but I've had the FJ against a few rocks with no real damage.

I was thinking about getting these but was wondering how easy they are to install. Is this something you can do with your basic tools or is any drilling required. I could not find installation instructions on their site. Found a good deal of 297.00 for these so would like to pick up.

Do the N-Fabs attach to the same threaded holes as the factory running boards on a TE?

I was trying to decide between the two -- any opinions?

The N-Fabs line right up to the factory holes. They come with all the hardware. Very easy install, just need a socket wrench.
