Light racing or total chaos UCAs

finally, after reading the different options (thanks to everyone) and my needs i've decided to go with toytech lift kit, but undecided about UCAs and also if its worth it to buy lower rear control arms

Just an fyi, you do not need UCAs with the ultimate. Nice to have yes, required no.

total chaos is uniball, a lot better then the light racing ball joint. uca's are not required with a lift although they help increase the amount of front travel and help keep it aligned to factory specs. anything over stock will be an upgrade since you are goin with toytec ultimate with the new coilovers. uni balls are known to squeek however all you gotta do is grease them. im def. not an expert as im about to purchase my first set. hopefully someone who has had them will chime in

Not sure where you get the info that TC is way better the LR's.

They both give the same amount of travel and they both do what they supposed to do.I've had both. TC's do look way cooler. Just wish they would seal that uniball like Icon did.

well uni ball's are supposed to be better then ball joints, and yes they look way better but are almost 700, if i was about to spend 700 i would just go ahead and fork over 1100 for icons

You can get LR's for around $400, I am sure they work just as well, and you don't have to monthly grease them to keep from squeaking. Compared to 700 for TC's or Camburg's, or 1200 for Icon's, it was a no-brainer for me. I just put mine on, and should hopefully be able to hit some local trails here later in the weekend, so I'll let you know if they have any problems.

I ordered a set of light racing UCA's today. After my lift (toytec ultimate lift kit) the dealership was having issues getting it aligned to the specs Toytec suggests with the stock UCA's. I avoided ordering them because I wanted to see how it rode before replacing them. I think the OEM UCA's rub on the coils when i hit speed bumps. Hopefully both of these issues get resolved when the new UCA's get installed.
