Got a new SR5 a few weeks ago. Leading up to getting the T4R I was on the forums a lot getting everyones opinions and thoughts on the 5th gen so thanks you all are very informative and helped in my purchasing decision.
For those of you with nerf bars, what made you decide between the two, steelcraft vs. westin nerf bars? Specifically I am looking into getting black ones to go along with the black paint. Was it price? build quality? brand? warranty? they are close to the same price too. Just want to get some opinions before I pull the trigger on some nerf bars. I can't seem to decide, as to me they look similar.
I had westin black nerf bars on my 96 ram and they completely rotted off within 7 years. I will not purchase another westin product again. I went with the OEM toyota bars. I had nasta bars on my newer ram and they were great. Wish they made them for the 4runner. Everything was stainless...mounts bolts and all.
I bought my Steelcraft nerf bars from AutoAnything. They were the only ones available at the time, so I really didn't have a choice. However the Steelcraft's were highly rated so I felt comfortable buying them. I also purchased black bars to go on my black SR5 and I've been very happy with them so far.
