Daytime Running Light - color swap and legal issue ?
I know Daytime Running Lights on the 4R are amber, when most manufacturers are white. I was thinking of swamping my bulbs out for a std white or a little 'cooler' white, as a few others have done here.....but then when I was coming home I realized something. Those DRL double as turn signals in the front and MA law, I believe, states that the turn signals have to be amber. I guess I wonder where does that leave me?! Typically the parking lights on the side of the headlights blink in most others vehicles, but not the 4R. We do have the signals in the mirrors that blink, and are amber, I wonder if that would satisfy them enough, but I have a feeling that would be a no. I guess this could be a tricky legal issue for those states that require amber if you want to switch them out. I doubt an officer would pull you over for just this, but if he is having a bad day he might. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions about this?
