Trail Edition OEM Running Boards

Ok... Last night I pulled the trigger on a pair of Toyota running boards for my 2010 4Runner Trail Edition.

The parts manager assured me they are genuine Toyota and that they are designed for the Trail.

I called the Toyota customer support 800 # and they confirmed that Trail Edition running boards have just been released.

The part number is on the invoice... I can post that later along with some pics when they arrive on Wednesday.

I also ordered the OEM hood deflector. I purchased the AVS brand, but didn't really like the way it mounts. We'll see how the OEM looks/mounts.

Ok, I looked at the invoice and realized that the parts manager ordered the wrong running boards. He ordered the running boards for the SR5/Limited model (part# PT925-89100).

I called today and he acknowledged the oversight... After a phone call to somebody at Toyota corporate, he placed a new order for the correct running boards to fit the Trail Edition. Unfortunately, he did not provide me with the part number over the phone.

I should have the running boards (and part number) in my hands by Thursday evening.

They should look identical to the running boards on the Canadian 4Runner Trail Edition.

Man I wish I would have known you wanted a pair. Before my TE came off the lot I made my dealer remove the running boards and tires. I put on a set of 265/75/17 KM2. My running boards are brandnew all wrapped up in plastic in my basement. Never to be put back on.

I will post a pic tomorrow, if I can figure out photo shop. I am not sure as to what you might see. I will have to unwrap them.

Did you ever post pictures of the runningboards on the Trail? I really want to get them and I'm not sure which ones I like best.

a picture would help a lot.

Not sure if this worked. But here is a pic of the running boards. $ 500.00 plus shipping takes them.

The guy I get all my Supra parts from has advised me that the first batch of 75 Trail Running Boards are on their way to the States and will be ready to ship the week of January 6th. The part number for the Trail R/B's is:

PT938-89100 r/b kit trail ed.
List 399.00 cost 360.00 shipped

These are for the solid black ones WITHOUT the chrome/silver strip on them (those are $500).

I have eye-balled the all-black rubber molding 2014 trail RBs installed on the SR5s posted in this forum more than several times already. I also noticed in the post above that the bracket holes seem to match the holes undeneath my SR5. I wonder if your friend would know if the 2014 trail RBs fit for sure on the 2014 SR5s ?? thanks
Also, do the OEM running boards always come with the brackets/screws / or are the brackets/screws purchased separate(like some of those 3rd party RBs/sliders) ??

I'm checking for you but I'm not sure they are still open. If I don't have you an answer today, I'll have one for you on Monday morning.

Hey Jeff, thanks for the info but the part number you gave me (PT938-89100) is for the 2010-13 Trail Edition. Here are some pictures of that part number.
