Those look great! Thanks for posting. I've had my eye on those blacked out tail lights for a few months now but was waiting to see them installed. I like how they black out the chrome but keep the turn signal clear. Your photos may have just pushed me over the edge!

Because of the SoCal super bloom we were in the area two weeks ago and went through Anza Borrego SP. I saw the nice trails for the first time, I was in a rental Murano thus no fun. I will need to drive down with my T4R to enjoy the area. I saw a fellow T4R.org guy near (TRD TRL or TRL TRD CA plate) that I know I've seen on this forum. I wanted to say hi but no where to be seen.
Also love your first photos with 4Runners!!

You can do a lot of the trails in a 2wd vehicle as long as you have some ground clearance, just need to be mindful of deep sand and when to call it quits, but yes it’s a lot more fun when you’re not stressing about getting stuck. Glad you were able to see the bloom, it was really incredible, and so much wildlife out there in springtime. Hit me up next time you’re down here and maybe we can tackle a few trails!

I know that guy, he helps me install stuff and vice versa. When I see him, I'll tell him you said "hi".

Hey! Sounds like you saw me in the area! I was probably roaming around on foot with my wife and dog thus why I wasn’t around my truck. Anza is awesome. So many areas to explore with a capable vehicle. Definitely come back, bring your runner, and let me know when you do!

You weren't kidding about the blooms, I've never seen anything like that before, so much color diversity, and a ton of water running through Sheep Canyon! We got lucky because of the rain and everyone skipped out after our first day there, it was crazy busy our first day, and a ghost town the next. Absolutely beautiful.

Awesome! I'm glad you enjoyed it! In my opinion the poppy fields out near Lancaster are even more impressive. I haven't checked out Walker Canyon by Lake Elsinore though.

2nd trip to CO with the 4Runner. 1st time with the Gobi. What a nice thing to have. I was able to keep all of our snowboard gear and fly fishing gear up top, leaving plenty of room in the cab for my girlfriend and our dog.
