KDSS Question

My understanding of KDSS is that it uses a stronger sway bar to accomplish the low speed capabilities when off road. Would this stronger sway bar help the Trail Edition with KDSS handle better than the SR5 on the highway?
I am trying to decide between TE and SR5 and this would help my understanding of the two vehicles. I prefer the understated appearance of the TE over the SR5.

Thanks to all!

onroad handling with KDSS is night-and-day better than the standard suspension. I haven't driven a 5th gen with XREAS so I can't make a comparison.

Test drive an SR5 and if you can't find a 4Runner with KDSS, test drive a Lexus GX460 (KDSS is standard).

Just to clarify, because of KDSS, the 4Runner is able to have larger diameter sway bars compared to the SR5 and Limited which in turn helps the On road stability.

The KDSS system firms up on road which allows the swaybars to do their job, Off road, KDSS allows the swaybars to move up and down which in a way simulates a disconnected swaybar system. If the same size swaybars were on a non KDSS 4Runner, you would get much less articulation and also get a much rougher ride when off road.

Like I've mentioned in other post's, Only reason I even bought a new 4Runner is the fact that I could get it with KDSS.

Thanks...that was helpful. It sounds like the KDSS system would be a worthwhile option to get for road handling control.
