I went back and forth for almost 3 months about doing it and re-sale was certainly considered. However, there is just nothing else to protect ya from scrub brush and I was already scratching up the stock painted bumper. I also didnt want to clear bra the entire front end.
Before I did this, rarely would I have a soul approach me about my truck. Now, I have at least two people a week compliment me on it. I know its a little shocking/polarizing at first (especially in pictures), but its become the best mod for my use and have no regrets.
I recently came back from an Oregon road trip and lost count how many people approached me at gas stations, coffee huts, etc... Oregon uses crushed lava rock for winter traction and it just destroys the front of your vehicle. And I will be moving back there in a couple of months.
Depreciation... I'm not on board with you there. Narrowed my resale market appeal, possibly. Regardless, a brand new OEM nose cone is only 300 bucks and the rear is about 200 (unpainted of course).
