" (!) " ...type "C" brake warning lamp...?!

Hi All, and Happy Thanksgiving!

I had my 10,000 mile service just yesterday.... and driving home from turkey dinner tonight I see the " (!) " warning light on my dash... and since I keep the manual in my glove box I pull over to see what that means. Lo and behold page 565 tells me it's a type "C" brake warning indicator and that I should stop driving immediately and contact Toyota, that there may be a problem with may brakes that may cause an accident~

I did a search and didn't find anything on this from the 5th gen forum of course. Nothing like being the first to have an issue in a new model, huh? lol

Can anyone shine some light on this, and how screwed I am for this happening at the start of a holiday weekend?

Thanks!

Dave

Yeah that should just mean low tire pressure. Check the manual again.

Does it look like this?

If so, like the others have said, TPMS light. Check the tire pressure in your tires (to include the spare).

Okay, I can chalk this one up to the 'Duh' column....

It was the tpms light, 25psi in the back right tire.

Thanks for the help and Happy Holidays everyone!

Well, the good thing is that most of these "defects" are not defects at all.
