help me turn off low tire pressure indicator

Just put on a set of winter rims and tires and of course the light is on , I'm assuming because the new rims don't have the sensor. Can this be disabled , I fliped through the manuel with no luck, or is my only option a little piece of black tape to hide it.

Or swap the sensors to the new rims.

I think your only solution would be to see if the sensors can be transfered over to your winter set up. I had Americas Tire do this for me at a cost of $10 per tire. Other methods would probably be more expensive...like cutting wires or opening up the gauge cluster to disable the light

wouldn't worry about it

I put my winter set on too and the light came on. If you are willing to spend another $80/sensor at the dealer, plus programming, this will be an expensive option. OR, I just leave it alone. When you put back the OEM tires on, the light should disappear (according to other posters in the General Discussion forum).
