Annual Forum Trip
Thought I would throw this out there and see what kind of response it gets.
I think it would be a lot of fun to meet all you somewhere, sometime, and go wheeling. We could make it an annual T4R.org Forum Run (or something like that).
Maybe Moab, maybe somewhere else if people have suggestions. Obviously schedule for 6-8 months away so everyone can make the appropriate plans.
Can a forum leader chime in on if this possible?
I am sure a lot of people would come, we could get T-shirts, stickers, etc. Charge like $100-$150 and the rest of the proceeds could go to a organization of the forums choosing.
Just a suggestions, I would be willing to help with the work.
Let me know what you all think.

Awesome Idea, I have attended 2 of the 4 national summits in Ouray Co for the FJ Cruiser forums in the last 4 years, has grown into a great event
I think we can do the same here for this forum

I like the idea, although Moab is waaay to far for a lot of the East Coasters...

I think the location should be somewhere in the middle of the US, like Missouri We do have a park that has 800 acres of dunes/trails.
But I was planning a trip with a few of my buddies (3rd gens) out to MoaB in May, it would awesome to see a fleet of 5ths.

I think it's a great idea but you're going to have to just pick a place and a date. Maybe do a Spring trip on the West Coast and a Fall trip on the East Coast. There's no way you'll ever make everyone happy, especially on this forum….

I'd be in BFLAN!!!....if it was when I had off for vacation.
I don't think there is any place on Earth for 4Wheelin that compares to Utah/Colorado though. All levels of trails there too.
I blow all of my VC at one time and we already picked for next year last month already .... got 5 weeks off from June 25th thru Aug 2nd and the last 2 weeks of the year we have mandatory shut down for 2 weeks.
Driving back home to the "Burgh" the first couple weeks to see family so I'll be back east. Then swinging back to Texas to regroup and then heading west .Hopefully all the way to Northern California and the Redwood forest. My GF is from Dunsmuir, north of Sacramento and will hit Colorado and Moab along the way.Drove 6300 miles last summer ,looking to do 8k this year!
Went to Moab for a week at the end of July last year and got lucky with the weather as it can be brutally hot in July. The Moab area and Western Colorado especially are 4 wheel drive heaven and I will go back EVERY year!!!
I think the FJ summit is in Ouray CO in the middle or end of July next year and I think they would take in any 4Runner groups in if we asked. It's sponsered by Toyota and TRD I believe. There were a few 4Runners at it last year and I was asked to go at the last minute by some FJers I met in Moab but couldn't make it.
I'm not good at organizing stuff like this. The FJ guys really have their sh*t together when it comes to organizing get togethers and sometimes makes me wish I would have just bought a white TT FJ to build up.

I am planning a trip Moab also, in April though. Maybe we can merge dates if we don't have an official trip laid out by then. I live in FL and would be down for a bicoastal meet. I have done SILV( supras invade las vegas), Z-days at tail of the dragon in North Carolina, and would love to have a TR4 expedition. Big car meets are usually really fun with a couple days worth of activities.
@Harper - those FJ guys do have it together!
Let's do it!
