Finally!! Enough money saved and ready for OME BP-51!

After three years, busted open my piggy bank and pulled the trigger on the purchase of OME BP-51 w/UCA.

Throughout the years most to all the labor was done by me but recently with a new job it is nearly impossible to tackle the install.

Reached out to guys at 4WP wheel parts and they are charging $1600 for the install which includes alignment. Not sure about the "covid" prices but it seems quite high.

I really want to give them my business but I am not dishing out peanuts here its a whole month salary!.

Any thoughts??

over priced.....try tire discounters or a small shop. I recommend installing the rear shocks yourself with a friend, took me maybe 45 minutes start to finish. It was my first time doing so and I took my time. I would just pay for the front installation and maybe 1-2 hours so $200-300 range, alignments will vary but probably $100-200 range pending coupons

Not sure where in Philadelphia you are but OK4WD is an OME distributor and is somewhat in the area. Could be worth calling them to get a quote.

Try Liquid Iron industries in West Berlin, NJ right across the river. Tim and his team are amazing.

Congratulations on saving up for the OME BP-51! It's a significant investment, and it's great that you're ready to enhance your vehicle's performance.
Before committing to the installation, it might be worthwhile to explore other options. You could inquire with local mechanics or off-road enthusiasts who might have experience with similar installations. Sometimes, local garages offer competitive rates, and you might find a more budget-friendly solution.
If you're looking for additional financial flexibility, you might find this best alternative to speedycash helpful information.

That's a ridiculous price. If I were in PA i'd do it for free for you... if's don't do much though! Take a day off if you can, even if you've gotta wait for it a few weeks or a month for the opening, patience can save big monies in my experience. If you'd lose out on money over the day off maybe you'd lose out on less than paying a shop to do it all? And if that's not the case, and you're making over $1,600 per day what do you do and are there any openings for a fast learner?? Willing to relocate.

EDIT: I see you're months salary comment and I definitely advocate you doing it yourself and making the time!

Just paid a buddy that owns a private overlanding shop $5500 +tax for the OME BP-51 Kit + OME UCAs + painted matte black bumper valences w/ full install & alignment. $1600 for just the lift install is steep. For reference, I installed the lift on my 2010 TE solo in my garage. It was doable but a PIA (KDSS swaybar was a bear to reattach!) so I decided to let my buddy and his Toyota Master Mechanic do it (and the alignment) this time around while I was on a business trip recently. Well worth the extra $$ if you can afford it (and don’t have the time) imo but installing yourself is totally doable as well to save more than a bit of $$. Good luck!

PS - in my case I knew and trusted the work my buddy’s shop was going to do. Probably could have found a cheaper price if I shopped around but trusting the mechanic & supporting my buddy’s business was a big factor… I was happy to pay for the low risk install, esp when he could knock it out while I was traveling for work.

dont take the risk

It's better to pay a little more, but be sure that the job will be done without problems Especially when it comes to insignificantly large amounts, it's definitely better to pay. I usually play with that amount on jakta.rs or something similar lol, it's not the amount to worry about, imo

I'm also considering a career in casino. Lately, I've noticed that I spend a lot of time searching for any interesting information about it, spending tons of time on various informational resources for game analysis. The best one for me so far is Ilixium casino but if you know of any other good ones, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks

Any thoughts??

It sounds like a tough decision to me. But I always recommend everyone to think carefully and analyze the issues. Be sure to check other auto services or workshops, they might offer a better price for such services. Talk to the representatives of 4WP about the price and possible discounts. Perhaps they'll agree to a discount or offer alternative options.

That's sound advice. Given that it's a significant amount of money, it's important to feel confident and comfortable with your decision. Plus, it never hurts to ask if any promotions or discounts are available, especially if you're considering giving them repeat business.
