Last week I installed the YOTA XPEDITION brand Pro Grill and a set of Raptor Lights on my 2022 SR5 Premium 4WD.
I opted NOT to install their optional TOYOTA lettering on my front grill.
I have yet to fully wire up the Raptor Lights in to the vehicle electrical system. I want to run the Raptor Lights on their own dedicated control switch on the dash, so I've ordered a switch, wiring harness, and switch relay kit off Amazon.com, and am waiting for those parts to arrive.
I also added a yellow, orange, and red TOYOTA TRD emblem to the lower grill, just for grins and giggles.
I myself am very happy with the new look.
If anyone is contemplating doing this to their SR5 grill, be very attentive and careful with your technique while installing that black horizontal piece in place that uses that 3M adhesive tape. I knew this going in.
Follow the directions closely, and watch the YOTA X installation video that they provide as a guide for installing this piece. You kinda get just one shot at doing this without wrecking that tape and ensuring that the piece is centered left to right and secured as fully back in place as possible. I got mine centered perfectly, but it is possible to be too far left or too far right if you're not careful!
I actually did a test fit with my piece before peeling the backing away from the adhesive tape.
So anyways, no going back now I guess. I'm "stuck" with this look thanks to that powerful adhesive tape. I suppose a person could tear that black cross piece back off if they really wanted to, but it would probably wreck the piece, and leave gummy adhesive residue on your original grill piece?
I saved my old upper grill for now with the chrome trim and TOYOTA emblem on it.
What do y'all think? ....screwed up my SR5's looks, or AOK?
