Aftermarket Head Units
I was just wondering if anyone has put an aftermarket head unit in the 5th gen yet. The stock navi is just really cheap looking to me (graphics), doesn't have a very clear screen. The only issue is that the trucks w/o the navi don't look like they would accept an aftermarket double din headunit. Does anyone know of any kits that are made for the 5th gens to fit this? Thanks for any responses ahead of time!

De-badged all around. 2% tint all around with 30% all the way down windshield. Kenwood Double Din 7 inch headunit. 2 Alpine Type R 12" subs with 2 Alpine 500 watt Mono Amps and a 6 farad capacitor. All interior lights swapped for LED's. Train Horn mounted where spare tire was. WAR EAGLE!

If you're referring to the kit I linked to then yes, it is made for non-navi dashes.

Hey guys. I just upgraded my non-nav factory HU to a Pioneer with DVD, Nav, and the whole nine. Bought everything from Amazon.com (except the Metra dash kit). The sound is ssooooooo much better than stock, like 10 times better than PARTY MODE. For those that are thinking of changing it out, GO AHEAD! Its worth the money, the time and the effort. Just my opinion.
Didnt want to load up the site with pics of the install. There are plenty on that other thread already mentioned above. Just putting in my 2 cents for those that are on the fence.
