TE Parts Needed to Convert SR5/Limited Exterior 2010-13

A bunch of people have asked me for the Trail Edition exterior part numbers that I used to convert the look of my Limited.

Finally got around to semi-organizing most of them. This can also be handy if someone with a Trail Ed. needs to replace something do to trail damage. The front and rear bumper covers will have to be painted body color of course, they come in black ABS plastic. I got the online prices for the parts from...ToyotaPartSales.com
You might find cheaper prices elsewhere?

I painted some exterior parts satin black with satin clearcoat like the door handles, fog light surrounds, front and rear Toyota emblems and their bases(aka wings).
Also, some exterior parts like the mirrors, headlights, hood and taillights I didn't change out and are different on the TE.

Here is a pic and corresponding part numbers.

• ** You will also need the outer dust seals, retainers and fasteners for the rear passenger doors.
• I don’t have them on mine yet so not sure of the part numbers. They are not really needed as there are inner rubber seals too. I will update when I go the parts dept and find out/order them.

• *** I don’t have the amount of plastic fasteners used as I reused a lot of mine and they
• ordered the rest. I do know you need a lot of 75392-35200 blue fasteners(at least 25,they call them retainers)
• and some 52535-0E030 retainers for the front valence.
You will have to ask your local parts dept for numbers and types of these plastic fasteners.

Please don't ask "how to do it" because I don't know how to answer that. I just did it from experience and if you have experience with body work it should'nt be a problem. It should be in the repair and collision repair manuals posted in the forum. If not sure if you can do it,print this out and take it to a body shop or have me do it for a nominal charge.

A couple of the R. for Right(passengers side) and L. for left(Drivers side) might be mixed up.Double check if your ordering just one side.If you find any errors or have questions ,PM me!Took me awhile to organize this but I did the best I could.
I have this online in my Google Docs in a word document if you want to download and print this here.... https://docs0.google.com/document/ed...hkey=CKK8_eoE#
Good Luck
Here are some pics of the parts and the install.....Picasa Web Albums - harper7 - TE exterior C...

..... he's correct, the disassembly/assembly should all be in the repair or collision manuals posted here on the forum.
Also,as he mentioned, pretty sure the 4cyl front bumper cover(OEM Part Number 52119-35905) is the same as the TE(Part B) but doesn't have the slots and holes cut in it for attachment of the front valance(Part A).

Hopefully, the gremlin wasn't a required addition for the conversion.

They aren't actually smoked .The inside part that is chrome on the SR5/Limited lights is black on the TE lights is all. As Jesse said, the fronts can be separated and painted black. The rears can not be separated as far as I could tell, and I tried.
You can get some VHT nightshade spray on tint or vinyl wrap and then you can "smoke em if you got em"

Rocker Moulding

Has anybody come out with an aftermarket SR5 specific Rocker Moulding that is is shaped like the TE so that you don't have to replace the trim all the way around? Seems like a simple concept.

If you are needing them to install sliders, just cut your SR5 rockers. Very simple and then you dont have to buy anything

Do your mirrors have the built in lights like ours. If so, I may be interested. Otherwise I will probably just vinyl cover them.

no lights, but i'd be willing to throw in a few bucks to compensate for the lack of them.

Harper,

Can you tell me what the minimum number of parts to replace are? I have the limited with the shrockworks sliders. I want the cleaner look of the TE parts as opposed to trimming the original limited pieces. I have a connection with a great painter and my desire is to order just the pieces that I need and have them painted to natch the silver. Do I need to replace the fender flares and the rocker panel or will the TE rocker fit into the existing limited flares?

Thanks,
Chris
