Want to Buy 2011 SR5 w/Leather Interior - no cloth
I'm new to the forum and have never owned a 4Runner. I'm interested in buying a 2011 SR5, not a Limited, in Salsa Red. I've "built" a vehicle on the Toyota website, but it doesn't allow me to include leather interior as an option on the SR5 (Ltd. only). Yet I see SR5's for sale on AutoTrader and through Carmax that have leather interior.
So, forgive my ignorance, my question is: Is the 2011 SR5 available with leather interior (not leather-trimmed, but actual leather)? If so, is it part of an options package and what else does that package include?
I have two dogs and a newborn on the way, so I definitely want an easy-to-clean leather interior. Appreciate any insight you can provide.

In my part of the country, the Toyota website only allows you to build the vehicle based on current local inventory.

In Canada, it's called the "upgrade package" available on the base SR5. When you build on the Toyota site, you choose the SR5 base model, click OK, and the next set of options allows you to add the "upgrade package". Not sure if it's the same in the States or not?

Yup, the Toyota build-it-now feature is limited to what you will commonly find on your local dealer's lot. If you go to the spec page on Toyota.com, you can see how the 4Runner can be optioned if you order it (or have your dealer grab something from the port that isn't already destined for your lot).

Another Option
I'm having leather put in my '11 TE right now. Frankly for $1300 I'm getting leather all around (not just seat section), custom double stitching that matches the Salsa Red of my truck, and seat heaters put in the front seats, and rear. The leather to me looks better than OEM and should wear better too... given the thickness and type of leather.
My .02. Don't rule that possibility out!

Yep its a convenience package, I have it on my SR5, black heated leather seats. On a side note, do you go to Mizzou in Columbia?

i'm pretty sure it's called the 'premium package' i think convenience is what the 120 volt plugs come with.
But yeah, like all other posters said you just gotta choose an options package. The leather ones are towards the bottom, called premium. and there are different levels of premium packages.

SR5 with leather here. It is the premium package when you are building it on toyota's site.

Yup it's the premium... I have the convenience package and it doesn't have leather. It's got all the other cool stuff like Bluetooth, steering wheel controls, power seats, back-up camera, rear parking sensors, etc... just no leather. So if it's leather you need, get the premium package.

I can't get a straight answer on this where I live either. When I go to build my own, I select my color and then leather as the interior, but then when I got to add the convenience package to it, it tells me it is not compatible with the color combination I selected. Yet, I see plenty in dealer inventory that have all of it installed. I gave up on the build your own and have just been going to individual dealer websites and checking what they have in stock.

Just add the leather after market via the dealer (include in purchase price), this is what I did. It is cheaper and better quality (thicker) typically (even according to my dealer). It cost me ~ $1500 for 3-rows

I believe it won't let you get the Convenience Package along with the Premium Package. Why don't you try just the Premium Package and then add the moon roof with sunshade as an option later? Maybe that will work... Toyota is very quirky regarding the various options/packages and part of the Country where you are located.
Good luck.

They are available, as everyone has stated. I've seen salsa red SR5s with both black and tan leather on my local dealer's lot within the last few months. If your local dealer is not wanting/willing to order/trade for the combo you want (or you're not willing to wait) consider dealing outside your local area. You can find what you want and, with a good deal, it may be worth a plane ticket to fly out and drive it back.
