Looking to purchase a new TE and have some questions. Is KDSS really useful? Worth the money? I plan on installing Shrockworks rock rails but wonder if there will be any issues with that if I have KDSS? I've seen some info regarding KDSS component installation which is mounted to the frame which may get in the way of the rail.
BTW, what the heck is Toyota doing not making the TE available in the midwest? In their infinate wisdom it isn't available bewteen the Appalachians and the Rockies. Some local dealers won't even try to get one, and the others want a premium to find one and ship it in.
I think most here will say KDSS is well worth the money and there are plenty of folks with the Shrockworks sliders and KDSS - no issues. I live in DC but ended up buying my TE in NY...Make a trip out of it! Fly out and drive it back. Best way to shake down your new truck!

In case the link doesn't work, Beechmont Toyota in Cincinnati has three TE in stock, Silver, black, and mag grey.

Your best bet is to drive west and pick one up. I wanted a TE back in may, none of the stealerships around here would even trade around for one. The owner of Kemp Auto managed to get a black TE from somewhere, im sure with his hookups it was easy. Happy searching!
