Side Exit Exhaust
Dropped the custom section of pipe off at the powder coating shop today to have it done satin black. Had the pipe made to route the exhaust out behind the right mudflap, tip welded on, and the powder coat will get rid of the bling (This guy hates chrome). should be about 10 days max till I have it back and welded on.
Here is a pic of the pipe before powder coating
I will post more once I get it back from the shop and some more of it installed.

That's the way to have it done! Some 4th Gen guys had it customized to come out behind the rear wheel also and said it all but eliminated the exhaust in the cabin smell.
That's probably next up on my mod list too as I have a Magnaflow muffler sitting out in my garage waiting to replace the Flowmaster when I find the time.Easy job for any reputable muffler shop.

Tell me what you think because I have the 4x9x14 and wondering if the 18" will be adequate or if I should go with the 5x11x22 that Nathan went with.

I like the new one a lot better. It's only slightly louder than the stock one at idle/cruising speeds but is more throaty when I get on it. I went with a different size all together, it a 5x11 oval 24in long.

the magnaflow 12586 is actually 5x11 22" long, isn't it?

I'm looking forward to seeing how the powder coating turns out and how it holds up under the heat of the exhaust.

Who built that section? Is it bolt on or is it just for your custom magnaflow exhaust? It looks awesome.

From what I've gathered it shouldn't be above 225 degrees max by the time it gets to that section of pipe. The powder coating shop said that there would be no problems with it melting or burning. We shall see.
