sure why not. Although, i prefer the manual 4x4 rather than the awd of the limited. Anyway, i got my 4runner up to 90 a few days ago on accident. I was on the beltway and i was passing some idiot. I floored it, next thing i know i'm zooming past her, and then i look down and i was doing 90.
i'd be a little iffy on going through deep snow. If its packed down real tight, it's possible that rather than go through the snow, your car will just sit right on top of it, and get stuck. that is what happened to my xterra last year, i was trying to plow through like 24 inches of snow, and rather than drive through, it just stopped. took us a few hours to dig out.
Not sure what the governor is set at, anybody know?

My limited is my trail rig so yeah I think you will do okay. I've taken it through mud, black diamond trails, deep snow, and sand.

Might want to clarify if your Limited is a 4x4. I don't know that I'd try some of that on a 4x2, but I guess the height and all would definitely give it some off road capabilities.

Assuming it is a 4x4, since that is what mine is.

That depends.
I've driven my '03 with snow tires through 18" of snow without any problem. Light, fresh snow.
I've also gotten my '03 stuck in 14" of snow. It was a densely packed snow pile left by a snow plow two months before and I got high centered.
The Limited has a great 4WD system, but offroad performance is dependent upon many things -- especially tires.

You should be able to go where any other 4R goes . I take it you can lock the center diff and have a 4lo setting .

No and yes. It does have a locking center diff and 4lo. But the trail edition will be more capable offroad with better angles, locking rear diff, and available KDSS.
