I don't have access to a 5th Gen but did this mod way back on my '04 (see link in my signature.)
Can you post more of the electrical diagram, specifically the power source routing, ahead of the 15A fuse?

I don't see why all cars have a constant 12v power source;alot of cars now have the constant power which is nice, even my wife's Focus has it.

bump...
Anyone have any updates on this? Has anyone tried the 4th Gen mod? I found the fuse in the engine compartment, but in the owners manual there a bunch of other things attached to it besides just the outlets and it worries me. I am hoping someone can shed some light. I finally have my Kodiac Dual battery installed and I can't even use it really. Like the amateur I am, I assumed that once I had the dual battery connected that the switch included in the dual battery setup would turn the outlets on. PLEASE, someone help!

I did this mod on my front 12v outlet with a switch. One side is always on, the other side is ignition on only. It is not hard to do, but I didnt post a writeup. I would be happy to walk you through it...You can't do it like the 4th gens because our relays are in a secret black box that nobody(?) has opened up yet.. What exactly do you want to do? I helped Reata with the wiring on his rear 12v plug , but he went a slightly different route. Check out his thread--

I have my guy (well it's the gentleman from Kodiac Industries) looking at this. I am hoping he can come up a solution making all 12V outlets hot. He seems optimistic.
Side note... Kodiac Inc. has been AWESOME!

I would love to see a writeup on how you did the front outlet!

I've had this mod on my "to-do" list for a while. (ok, for Antman to do the mod to my truck while I photograph it and write it up)
And I've been out of the modding game for a little too long. [well, i replaced my shift knob this week. That's hardcore, right?]
Maybe I need to text my friend Antman and see if we can't get this done and posted in my build thread...

Bring it on- after 10 mins in front of the computer, I'm ready to go outside or in the garage and do something else...
I have everything we need to do the mod to your truck- except the switch...

I can't believe no one has done this yet...... its 2015!
I probably just not finding the right thread....
I think I will go add a switch besides the power-inverter switch, you will get 2 choices:
1) back to original configuration, when IGN, power outlets (rear 12V) will be ON
2) power outlets always ON even when the car IGN is off
Please let me know if this is clear enough.
I may go fancy and find a nicer switch later.
