Why do you need those tires when it never leaves the pavement?

Well I did all that today, plus: laundry, cleaned the house and cooked dinner ( I did wash the stoopid truck) .
Then I let her go to the slots for a few hours while I watched the girls. Happy Wife = Happy Life.
Sooooo, I figured it's the right time to ask!

Thanks for the mod. Did you install the roof rack lights on your truck? If so, how did you route the wires on the interior.
Thanks!

Welcome to T4R kgamache!
I never did a proper writeup on the lights, keep meaning to get around to it. There are some pics in my photo album of the wire routing
Toyota 4Runner Forum - Antman's Albums
Basically the power wire comes through the rain gutter and into a factory wire loom for the hatch. The ground for the lights is sourced from a mounting bolt on the rack. That way there is no need to run a ground wire from inside the truck. No problems so far with this setup!

Dear Mrs. Antman,
Fall and winter are on the way. For the added safety in what is predicted to be another snowfilled winter (see La Nina), I wanted to point out that now would be the proper time to install tires. Tires that are better suited to making sure you and you family are ready to take full advantage of what your 4Runner can do in bad weather. Sure, new tires are expensive but how much is it worth to you to make it home safely versus being stuck far from home because the tires have no grip?
Please , don't let cost edge out safety.
Sincerely,
The Jerk

Thanks for the reply and welcome.
So as far as the lights, I am curious about getting the wire through the cab to the switches. Did you have to remove any panels or just fish it through.
Also, is your roof rack custom and is the ladder hinged?
Thanks again!
