5100s leveling w/ 265/70/17 MTs

I got these photos and info from another member (arsonl45). I want to do the same to my truck. Looks awesome. He has 5100 up front (set to 3rd notch) with 265 MT. This is the perfect combo for my taste.

Check it out!

Those are really 265s? They look bigger than that, or I have no concept of size.

Is it an illusion or my eyes that the first and last picture almost makes it look like the front is a tad higher than the rear?

The other pictures look great - thanks for posting these because this is exactly what I'm looking to do as well! Just got my duratracs on not long ago and the front needs to be lifted.

How is the handling with the better fronts and stock rears? I want to add the 5100's too, but wasn't sure if I should do 2 or 4.

You might as well do all 4 corners, it's not that much more money.

I have done the same with my Trail. The rear is actually about .25 inch higher. I like the ride and looks much better. The ground must not be level in the picture below.

I am also ready to go with bigger tires and will be raising my TE to the last notch (2.5) with a one inch lift in the back to keep the truck close to level.

Yep. Stock tire size and stock rear shocks. The front still has a slight rake to it and some of the pictures are misleading because the ground at the farm is not very level at all. The handling is MUCH better with the 5100's up front!!! I wouldn't worry about the rears they seem to be fine. BFG MT's are the way to go if you want M1 Abrams tank style handling on your 4runnner. I went through some soup last weekend and didn't even worry about it!

ur T4R looks Good

Do you have KDSS on that TE?

Did the 5100 lift affect the KDSS function at all?

Thanks

I have a questions for you guys with the 5100's; I want to add the 5100 to the front but I actually like the SR5's "soft ride". Does installing the 5100's just in the front change the ride in a big way? I'm really liking this combo with the 265/70/17 wheels. I have the Bilstein's on my Tundra and I could feel the bumps a bit more in which I rather keep my "soft" SR5 ride.

The ride is a bit firmer but I think it was a great improvement. The truck does have KDSS and according to Toytec, who I bought the 5100's from, and the Toyota dealer the function of KDSS is not affected at all.
