I know this is an old thread but any solutions to that high pitch noise from CAI? I hear it in mine also.

I've installed the TRD filter ahead of the CAI and can confirm with just the filter, the whistle exists.

Yes, use the stock paper filter in the TRD CAI and the whistle will go away.

TRD CAI with stock filter. Kind of defeats the purpose. Has anyone tried TRD intake with AFE dry filter or other types of filter with no whistle?

I guess i can live with the annoyance. Ill just press the pedal harder to not hear the whistle.

It is like a high pitch whine, not super loud at volume 10, but still very noticeable. It only occurs when the pedal is partly depressed achieving the rpms noted above, and is easily replicated. If I let off the throttle slightly at about 2300 or so, it occurs dropping down the rpms but if I get back on the gas just after it stops, it happens on the way up in about the same rpm band.

Anyone experience something similar and (more importantly) figure out a way to get rid of it? I checked all the connections and everything is sound.
I had this exact noise after installing the intake. Tried to chase it for a while thinking it was a leak, but couldn't find any. I think it has something to do with the recirculation pump, who knows, it didn't affect the car in any way. Like another member mentioned, I eventually liked to joke around that it was the turbo. It did go away after installing the supercharger though. I guess that could be a fix ? Hahaha

I have the AFE 31-10208 Pro Dry S and have not heard any whistle, I also plugged the small cavity at one of the lower mounts.

I have the same setup, never had the whistle either.

You can find these rubber plugs at your autoparts store. I think I used the one on the left in the pic, I had to trim it a little with a razor to fit, you'll see what I mean.
