Green 9 seems to be the fav setting on the 5th gens. What's crazy is, if you hit the off button on the unit, it acts as a pass though, with no programming, which is STOCK SETUP. After you drive with this for 2 weeks and then turn it off for fun, to see how it used to be, you won't believe that's how you were driving all that time! It's really nuts at the difference it makes. I have 3 neighbors now with 5th gens and all of them have it now.

I was a dumba$$ and just ran the wire up and laid it in the cupholder for a while. My intention was to run it up to one of the left side blank switch holes. I didn't realize how easy it was to take off one of the blank switches. Well it took a while, but I stepped on the wire and yanked it off of the JST connector. I couldn't find the exact JST connector to try and repair it so I just bought the SBSWITC3S – V3 Switch (Replacement Part) for $50. What's interesting is that after the wire got ripped off it stayed on my original setting of red 2. Won't make that mistake again. Mistake of not securing it properly, I like red 2.

How did you guys remove the OEM pedal harness. I wrestled with it for quite a while but couldn't push on the tab in the back and yank it out.

There’s a clip on the side facing away from you when you’re down there looking at the gas pedal. It’s a little tough to get loose, but when it comes off you’ll know.

I still haven't installed mine. Have 1 more free service (20k miles) at the dealer, then plan to install it.

Questions - the instructions mention (I'm paraphrasing from memory) opening the door and letting the vehicle rest for awhile. Did everyone do that and is it required?

Also - any noticeable effect on MPG? Has your MPG gone down since using the Sprint Booster?

I turned off the annoying Eco light but I like that Eco Bar. Does using the Sprint Booster make the Eco Bar useless?

Yes, you want to leave the door open for 10 min, with they keys out of the car. The is so any and all computers are fully off and nothing else is running on the background when plugging in, so all can bus stuff is off.

On mileage I’ve had some customers tell me they gotten more depending. You won’t get less, but remember your first tanks of gas will prob be less as you’ll be super testing out all the setting and flooring it testing kit the new found acceleration in which number you want to set it to. After you find the sweet spot, which most are using green seven then that’s when does start checking your mileage again etc. Drive the car then how you always used to normally drive it and you will find that everything is just tighter, way more responsive, and much more confident to drive.

My setup...yes, i only get 13.3mpg due to all the extra weight and lift, larger tires, has nothing to do with the sprint booster. Yep, my 2016 only has 17k miles on it and already had to replace the UCA's....off-roading and driving in a city that mimics a bombed country will do that.

Is it true that you can set it on whatever setting you want and unplug the controller cable so you don’t have to run it anywhere? I’ll probably set it and forget it

Just installed this today. Set it and just stuffed the controller in the side under the dash. Race 8. Totally transforms how the car drives. Its still a POS 5 speed transmission, but so much more responsive. My daily a Tesla P100D that does 0-60 in 2.3 and a 10.4 1/4, so to get into the 4Runner it was such a dog and felt so ancient. This really makes a big difference. Id say its a must have mod, and probably one I would have done first.
