You have a crack in the clutch pedal bracket? It is a common problem and makes it near impossible to press in the clutch far enough to get in gear when it gets really bad. You can either replace it with a new one, get one from a wrecker or weld the crack. All have been done before and work equally as well as long as the welder knows what he is doing with the thin bracket.
