Gas or Electric Pressure washer for car cleaning...

Been thinking of getting a pressure washer for cleaning my cars, and am undecided as to gas or electric.

For electric, I was thinking of this:

Karcher K3.92M-BONUS - 1750 PSI (Electric-Cold Water) Pressure Washer w/ Dual Detergent Tanks & Surface Cleaner

For Gas I was thinking of this:

Shop Troy-Bilt 2700 PSI 2.3 GPM Gas Pressure Washer at Lowes.com

Is the gas overkill, and would risk damaging the finish on my cars with it?

It would really only be used for detailing work and washing the eaves on my ranch house.
