Can someone please fix the like button in this joint!!!!!! Sheesh place is falling apart around here. I think they should just cut the 4Runner like Nissan did with the Xterra and just make a TRD pro highlander along with the trd rav4

So you propose two different unibody "offroading" vehicles, and no BOF model..

Bigass fuel tank.

Seriously if Prado can get 150L, we should be able to get 150L too. I'll take a door-mount tire if that's what it takes.

I'd love TSS standard on the base model, and keyless/pushbutton standard too while we're at it. But they've got to leave something for the premium package.

And no more fake vents and grilles. OK now I'm in fantasyland...

New to 4Runner, have just bought a 2019 5th Gen, and this is my first car with a nav/info system - what is it you don't like about it or what is it lacking?

Also - do we really need a fake hood scoop? It looks pretty, but I didn't buy this truck to look pretty (alright, maybe a little).

The blind spots are fairly large, could do with some of those little bent, blind spot mirrors (don't know what they're officially called), I'm probably going to buy some stick on ones from Canadian Tire.

Would be nice if the rear seats were heated too (maybe they are in other trims, idk). The cargo cover thing is awkward to get in place, or I'm just getting old, but I'm considering removing it altogether and leaving it at home.

Oh, and I need a longer snow brush (or taller kids).

I was always amazed that the Runners don't have a program to tell you which tire is low when the low tire pressure light comes on. Instead, have to check every tire in sub zero temps only to find out it's the full size spare...grrr. How is this not a basic thing to have already?

One of the things I would like to see we a future 4Runner is the merging of the Limited with the off-road trims. I don't see why the limited needs to look more fancy.

There were items in the limited that I prefer such as the full time 4wd, the power seats with memory, front and rear parking sensors, heated and cooled leather seats and dual zone a/c that I wish I could have got in the Off Road Premium.

I think the Offroad (or Trail) should have H4F, H4L, L4L with rear lock (optional) and the Offroad Premium (or Trail Limited) have that with the limited luxuries above. The TRD Pro should then add the lift and suspension tweaks, front and rear locker and the crawl modes.

The safety sense should be a package so its not forced on everyone (this is the reason I'm ordering a '19 as I don't want the safety tech from the '20 model. I test drove a Rav4 with it as well and didn't care for it).

There should be a technology package for those that want it that include 360 surround cameras for terrain monitoring. I'm not sure about the gauge cluster. Driving the Rav4 I found the screen a little overwhelming. I would like it more modern than current but toned down from the Rav4 Adventure.

The materials of the Rav4 interior are nice though so it would be good to see some of that cross over into the 4Runner.

Anyway these are some of my initial thoughts.

Really? My 2008 Acura TSX has that and that's an 11 year old car.... I thought every car had active tire pressure monitoring now?

Here's a thread on replacing the side mirrors with RAV4 side mirrors which have blind spot inserts. Blind spot mirror retrofit. I did this and they work great.

As far as the hood scoop, I'd rather not have it. I've been blinded many times by the glare off of it. Makes me wish for a visor that mounts on the dash. Now, if it was a functional flat black "shaker" scoop like I had on my 1970 Boss 302 Mustang, I'd be good with it.

Nope, just your dash light comes on to tell you that there is low pressure...does not tell you which tire. Likely because Acura is a luxury vehicle yours had it. Some of the sedans in the Toyota line have them but as far as I know, the Runners still don't have them....even though we have a huge screen to use

Toyota should take the lazy/easy route and just rebadge a BMW into the 6th-gen 4Runner, it's not like it'll be their first time *cough new Supra*
