Thinking of a Limited....
  • Lane keep assist
  • big digital current speed read out
  • adaptive cruise
  • 8 speed
  • Limited front end to look cooler like the TRD Pro
  • keep 3rd row, heated seats, a/c seats, leather, awd
  • decent bluetooth connectivity, sound quality
  • decent color selection for Limited (not just shades of grey)
  • better acceleration maybe via modes; econ, normal, sport, etc
  • off road functionality shouldn't be removed from Limited and only available in other trims

.
^ this, I would buy a limited in a heartbeat if it came in ORP or pro trim.

It is frustrating that Toyota makes the features a trade off. If you want x you can't get y.

As long as the tailgate window continues to fully retract into the gate, I'm sure I'll be happy with whatever else changes.

Having had my Limited for a week now and having driven it on tight, dark mountain roads, there is not much I would change but I would add the following;

- seriously better lighting (that’s a no brainer) but one thing I found is on tight switchbacks where steering lock is full, you can’t see around the corner. Having a steerable lighting option on higher trims would be nice.

- another thing is having the option to limit how far the tailgate opens. Mine bangs on the top on my garage door when I open it (parked in the garage) so being able to limit that would be awesome.

Had an SUV that did that. Glued light weight padding to the inside the door and problem solved!

Yup...and this is why i went with GX. I wanted FULL-time 4wd, CRAWL, and KDSS.

Back when i had 4runner (2002), Limited was the top dog with EVERYTHING...sure it was expensive, but THAT was why i got it.

I like to see a similar interior infotainment layout, like this one from the ram. It is tesla like.

I really like the look. Just don't know if that's a unit that hold up as long as the vehicle can.

4cyl Turbo-diesel with gobs of torque.

Imagine a fully built 4R that would be able to get 25ish MPG... (Assuming stock it's good for 35ish mpg).

Range would be significantly improved (that 5 gallons you're carrying as backup gets you much farther than the puny V6 would), huge low-end torque for towing/hauling/carrying around armor and gear, and dat sweet turbo whistle.

If not that, then not the motor and transmission out of the Taco. That thing is anemic at best. Would consider a 6th gen with a V8, buy on release a 4cyl turbo diesel. Hard no on the V6 out of the taco. I'll stick with my 4th gen.

If Toyota did that I would buy a 4runner and burn it to the ground to take it out of its misery, then spread its ashes from the top of a 14'er here in Colorado.
