Saw this in a CNET article about the Rav4 and Rav4 Prime:

"At Toyota, the company plans to offer an electrified option for every model it sells come 2025. The RAV4 is just the tip of the iceberg."

Amen! And an option for an open center diff for awd operation when called for.

Selectable axle ratios and tire sizes from the factory.

LSD and Locker stand alone options.

More headroom! (I'd like to fit with a sunroof please)

4.5 V8 turbodiesel, selectable lockers front and rear. 6-speed manual. Basically a 78 series Landcruiser which is available in other markets.

Factory lockers front and rear with a reintroduction of the Torsen differential transfer case on all models would be nice.

The option to select an example ratio would be pretty cool as well as mentioned by another member.

Would be nice to see a fully configurable model for the enthusiast market, but knowing what I know, that is extreme optimism.

What really irritated me was my 4th gen had tpms on the spare but my 5th gen doesn't. I have to buy an additional tpms and put it on the spare. Also, I wish they hadn't made it so the back end isn't flat once the seats are down. I understand they wanted the room for those who got the pull out tray, but I just want to be able to sleep in it without building a platform (which I did). Let the people who want a tray deal with 2 less inches of space.

Definitely heated steering wheel and tighter turning radius

leave the models alone, as that core will keep buying. Make a model that has all the same tech as the Rav4 Hybrid - call it the 4runner Urban Hybrid - the people that like it for city driving rarely if ever go off road, but want the tech the new Rav4 has (Apple car play, android auto, lane keep, the same adaptive cruise that starts at 0, better hybrid gas mileage, more USB spots, wireless charging, all that good stuff).

Heated steering wheel, cooled seats, better GPS (make a legal u-turn...), better placement of the PCS (always gets covered with snow and such), windows that roll down when below -10 degrees Celcius, rear defrost that works more than it doesn't (dislike having to roll down the back window re-activate the rear defrost), all-around camera, or downward-facing camera so one can see where the wheels are when off-road, lower placement window switches, power rear hatch (not a killer though) and blind spot monitoring.

Personally I would like to see a performance version trim level maybe a 4runner GR? like the new Supra (aka z4) and Yaris GR. Or 4runner RS for rally sport. The 3.5 TT V6 from the LS or the old 4.7 V8 but supercharged as long as it makes 400 hp or over it would be nice and around 385lb-ft of torque, It should still keep body on frame and all the off road goodness, sport suvs are getting really hot these days i think they would sell as long as is not over 55k maybe place it over the trd pro?. Ohh and maybe add air suspension and a sport mode that lowers the suspension close to the ground for better performance and agility it would cool to have a off road vehicle that shifts from the trail to the track Hence the 4runner name.

High output engine, like the twin turbo raptor or a hybrid with a focus on performance like I hear the rav4 prime is supposed to be like.

Third row option for all trims, crazy to me that you can't get a 3rd row with a Trd model.

That's all I really need, and if this happens will likely trade my 2020 for a 6th gen.

Don't know if it was previously mentioned...
Solid front axle and a turbo diesel engine.
