Like @jrandom said, more power to the OP if the crowdfund succeeds, but he is right, the OEM unit is far too expensive to order as a "new" part, and specifications wise, you will get more bang for your buck with aftermarket. I also doubt that this has been thoroughly thought out and researched. That being said, I do see the appeal of the OEM headunit both pre 2020 and 2020 but everything is in the eye of the beholder on their own vehicle. Good luck to the OP either way.
