aftermarket wheels offset

new to the 4runner club, 2019 SR5
stock height right now...
looking at some wheels 17x8.5 0 offset

looking to move the tires and wheels out just a bit, spoke with the guys at CarID he said that with the zero offset it would move them out roughly an inch...keeping factory tires for now

my question is do you think moving out and inch would look aweful...definitely not going for the 1993 honda accord 100spoke rims look

thanks guys, if this is clearly stated else where please let me know, i saw a couple posts about wheels but didnt see folks talking about moving them outward

depending on your wheel width, backspacing and offset, typically 0 to -10 offset will bring you close to your fender, which is visually perfect for most people.

Do a search on negative offset wheels, and check out the pics. I think you will like what you see.

Not sure how many users are reading the 6th generation section - but you will certainly reach more people if you post this in the 5th generation section.

Your 2019 4Runner is a 5th generation model and there is no 6th generation out yet (and there probably won’t be for another three years).

The ‘2019 4Runner’ tag next to the 6th generation is an error and it seems the forum mods or owners are not able to delete this tag or move it to the 5th gen section. This is going on for months now.
