For a business vehicle - they make a lot of sense. They have less than half the failure rate of the next best domestic truck. So if out of service = money, I'd go for a Tundra every time. Or if I were doing a lot of off road miles. The running gear is night and day different from the domestic options in terms of being designed for life in the dirt. So I guess if I were buying for use for actual work - plowing snow, ranch life, oil fields, utility lineman work - Tundra hands down.
But for daily driving, highway trips, and towing - the Tundra just doesn't really hold up anymore other than value. Tundra's are a lot cheaper than the domestic options. And I think that's why the Sequoia still sells better than it should - it's cheap at $60k compared to the GM variants. I'd look really hard at a Tahoe with the 3.0 diesel myself. But it'll be a lot more $ than a Sequoia.
