I was watching the latest Scotty Kilmer video. And someone submitted a question asking Scotty what he thought of the latest TR4 with a turbo. Did Toyota come out with a turbo charged 4Runner this year?

I saw that. I just assumed Scotty hadn't done his homework and took the question at face value, commenting on his expectations for potential reliability based on Toyota's past record. I haven't seen any announcement regarding the next platform. There is no new motor on any current 4Runner.

Anything slapped with a turbo won't outlive anything N/A. For example, the 1.5L Honda turbo engine with their oil consumption issues compared to the reliable N/A 2.0L they released the same time............
