That's why i said in my post that the bigger difference is in the body.
To what do you think many of those parts connect?

Itís not a trivial project and useless you plan on building a lot of them it isnt normally done.

I would buy a us built 4runner without hesitation. They already build pickups here in the u.s. Actually I believe here in Texas.

I have not heard anything to indicate that the quality of u.s. built toyotas is poor.

True.

I like the fact that the 4Runner is built in Japan but would not hesitate if it was made in the US or (gasp) Mexico.

I think Toyota is going to be really careful on a new design of the 4runner. I think we are at the point where the same ol 4runner with slightly more technology features are ending. I mean, throw a rack on the top, add a sensor, throw a cooler in the back with grey rims and call it something else days
Are OVER

hopefully they don’t make the same Mistake Ford did with the new F150 back in the day with the curved rounded hood. Hell I don’t think I’ve seen once of those for at least 10 years. It’s like Atari with the ET game. It just simply vanished. No questions

Speak for yourself! I love my dinosaur, and since there's no way they're gonna do a turbodiesel engine... KISS! a hamburger bet says they're gonna do way too much on the 6th gen that reliability will become an issue in the long run and it'll increase the value of previous generations If you want the tech and 20spd transmissions with ecoboost and shit there's other options out there.

That being said I'm sure toyota will keep the 4runners current legacy in mind *crosses fingers*
