Perfect! There is a shortage of 4Runners as it is, so if they push a few potential customers to that Ford hype machine, that means I'll have more selection when I get my '22 T4R, lol.
I for one am skeptical of the next gen. I like the T4R as is, and most changes to vehicles these days are more about fuel economy and CAFE than anything else. That means expect a turbo with questionable longevity and a 45 speed automatic that shifts like a machine gun.
I want to grab the current gen while I still can. If the next one turns out to actually be a big improvement where it matters, there is always the option to trade in later.
I really hope they don't blow it, since over the years every other SUV has become just a blocky minivan.
