I have a 4runnner but don't plan to trade it in --so its a cash transaction for me. I am probably going to go with "magnetic gray"

Yes MSRP, no markup. Dealer policy for 35 years

excellent
I just stopped into the local dealer / Bristol Toyota.......they are selling 2022 PRO's at MSRP - read no mkt adjustment. I may pull the trigger and order one late this week...90 to 120 days to arrive is the current thinking

I'm waiting these crazy times out myself. My wife and I are still unsure of what 4wd we will end up with. It's narrowed down to 4Runner, Rubicon 2 door, or Bronco 2 door.

I don't blame you, but ultimately I made the decision because I don't think these prices are going anywhere soon, I think they will be similar if and when the 6th gens are released, and I want nothing to do with buying a new model until the first mid-generation redesign. My daily driver is also nearing some major repairs so I figured I would cut my losses before I get stuck without an option

That's fair and I don't blame you one bit. I'm in a position that I can wait it out with what I already have. And boy you make a great point. The reality is we don't know how long this is going to last. It almost like gas prices. They go up fast but come down slow.

I'm waiting for '23 or '24. It'll be my first 4R. In a Taco now. Excited for 6th Gen!

I was just lucky enough to purchase an Army Green 2022 Trail edition that happened to have come off deposit the day I went to the dealership. I was not intending to purchase new but the deal was good and the color was the one I originally wanted. Looking forward to deliver mid October. Good luck. I dont think you will wrong 2022/2021 either way.

I did my research for months on my new t4r, not only were they impossible to find on any lot new but the used ones were priced like new. I saw some good ideas like finding the vehicle allocations for dealership and contacting the dealers. I started to look outside of my area and found a 21 SR5 with the XP Gunner package for get this:$38k. I drove my lowered Honda straight to the dealership and traded it in. After I brought the 4runner home found the window sticker in the glove box and showed $47k!

I attached a pic of my before/after

This question goes out to all the people who placed deposits down and received a 4Runner for MY21/22. How long did it take to receive the truck after placing your deposit? How long did the dealer estimate it would take vs. how long you actually waited?

I placed my deposit on 9/9/21 and was told 8-12 weeks. I have not received any updates regarding ETA since then and have kept in regular contact with my dealer. If I can get it by year-end I will be happy

2022 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium

Here is what i found out. Last month I decided this would be the year I get a new truck and the 4Runner TRD Off Road or Pro would be the only 2 i would accept. In reality here, dealers were charging more for used than brand new. New orders were 5-6 months and there were many customers with orders at each dealer. I phoned around like everyone else.

I drove to a nearby dealer in Vaughan (north of Toronto) and knew about this dealer from a couple of years back and knew they were OK. They had 1 heavily optioned Barcelona Red TRD Off Road on the floor that was a cancelled order (tint, ceramic coat, rust module, boards, tow, 2 sets mats, cargo tray, crossbar rails) the works.

Lucky break for me. Not my first choice in colour (wanted blue) but the options were liveable so went for it and surprised the dealer offered my several thousands above black book for my trade but not much discount off list.

So I arranged my own financing. Owning, cut them a large cheque and delivery was no issue ! Couldn't be happier ! Red ? can learn to live with it. Reminds me of a 93 Supra TT i wanted once but could never afford.

Congrats! Which dealer is that? I live in Vaughan.
I put a deposit for Trail few months ago, they told me Jan-Feb, nothing yet.
I have serious doubts they will deliver.

I was in the market for a Magnetic Grey/Graphite-black int. Limited and could not find a pre-owned one for less than buying new. I reserved ($1K deposit) one that just arrived on the docks with an est. delivery to dealership Jan. 11 - 17th.

If you haven't already, call Fred Anderson as I remember seeing one available in Army Green. Otherwise, call around for the best price and reserve one.
Good luck!
