Scored a New SR5
I started to write a long explanation here, but will be brief. Many 4Runner owner, 5 before this one. Not needing the new TRD Tacoma that has been sitting in the garage since 8/13, 2477 miles on the odo, decided to go back to the 4R.
I traded our 2018 4R for the Tacoma, got more for the 4R then what we paid in April 2018.
Since 4Runners are far and few between, when looking for the right color, options, etc., I decided to start a search 200 mile radius from home.
There is one dealer charging $2500-$5000 over MSRP. In another state, they told me they were only selling to in state residents.
I did find dealers that had 4R's on the way, and others that had a few, spoken for.
We wanted just a basic SR5-4WD, Magnetic Gray with a couple options.
There was a lot of calls, texts, e-mails, etc. Finally found one that is on the boat, and will be here 12/14. We went there soon as we hung up the phone, check book in hand.

Our deal : MSRP on the new 4R, Total : $41137.00 with port options.
Trade value received for the Tacoma : $41000. $137.00 difference.
Should get it close to week of 12/27. Here is the '18, move up 4 years. All good.
