That's the new normal. I my area Tacoma TRD off-road (not the TRD Pro) are marked up $10,000. Chevrolet ZR2, $5000, Rubicon, $5000.

I’ve seen it for 80k. It’s wild out there. Got mine for 54k, which was even a few k over msrp but so late in the year when production was stopping and lunar rock….I was willing to pay a bit more than msrp.

When I picked my 2022 TRD off road, the dealer called two weeks later to buy it back

because your family 6 generations from now will inherit the car payment you started due to how steep the costs are for a new trd pro

No way I'd pay even close to that for such an out-dated 4Runner. Then again, I guess most people are not me. I'm waiting for the next redesign of the 4R and the Sequoia. Till then, I'll add a GL450 to the stable (mainly for gear room + 3rd row) and let it get us through a couple of years.
Used vehicles are off the charts too. Well, some of them like Toyotas and Wranglers. My 2015 Rubicon is now worth mid 40s. Low miles for sure but still quite surprising. I may sell it though knowing me, I'll prob end up with another one in due course.
The 2005 4R stays. It is just a workhorse.

Our dealer in town, Rusty Wallace Toyota, has yet to mark one over sticker. I was getting my wife a new 2022 TRD Off Road that hadn't come in yet and it was sticker. I also asked about a Pro and he said whatever the sticker was, that would be the price. She wound up finding a 2015 Inferno Pro with super low miles so that's what we bought. Another $10,000 and I could have bought a new Off Road but she's always wanted that color in a TRD Pro.

I bought the Lime Rush TRD PRO 2 days ago. Was also marked $15k over MSRP. Ten days ago the dealer wouldn't negotiate, then all of a sudden, 7 days later, they were willing to deal. Found out that they have only a short time to sell the higher end models or they will not get another.
