I'm curious as to why Toyota did not want the fog lights on with the high beams. Is it possible that together the combination would draw too many amps from the alternator?

Some people who put in HID lights must install relays to avoid burning up the wiring harness and a higher output alternator so they don't drain the battery while they are on.

Anyone know what the output is of the standard alternator?
What is the wattage of the high beams and the fog lights?
