Cheers.
The instructions I have said to mount it somewhere high but not directly underneath metal. I'll see if I can find a place like this underneath the dash, don't want to extend the harness and put it behind the mirror.

I wound up pulling off the d/s tweeter cover, fishing the wire down to the area around the BCM and stuffing the antenna in a gap just behind the tweeter.

Works like a charm.

Good Afternoon,

My apologies if this question has already been asked I am a first time 4Runner owner of about 18-hours. Got a 2020 4RUnner Venture. Surprised to learn that there is no remote start from the factory.

Do you know if this system will work on my 4Runner?

Thank you in advance.

Your best bet is to contact the mfg. directly-there's a phone # and email address for support on the website.

I use my OBD for a scangauge. I see both 12v and accessorides use the OBD port. Does either harness include another OBD so I don't lose my OBD access?

The accessorides kit comes with another OBD port that you install into the old location, so you donít lose access to it. I canít speak for the 12v version though.

I looked at their website; I have the G key but with the integrated remote on the key. It is not the one pictured on their website; will this remote start still work for me?
Thanks!

It should work. I've got the same type of G key with integrated remote and just installed the same kit you're referring to.

After a mixup on my part, I finally received my kit over the weekend. The guys at Accessorides were very accommodating and got everything squared away. A+ for customer service.

Installation was super easy. I'd say routing the wires for the ignition harness down the steering column in a way that doesn't interfere with the cover, fishing the wire for long range antenna, and finding a place to mount the module took 2x longer than the actual installation and programming. The install and programming was super simple.

Now it makes sense why none of the DIY YouTube videos include info on the tedious part of buttoning everything up.

I see posted that you installed the remote start.... I have a question about programming for the long range. I tried several times but don't seem to be getting it right. I turn the ignition switch 5 times I hear clicks lights flash and I press the button on the remote and nothing happens then

I replied to your PM but figured it may help others too.

I think what you're experiencing is the same thing that stumped me for a few minutes. The timeout for programming the long range remotes is extremely short. Maybe like 2 seconds before the module goes back to a regular state.

Have both of your long range remotes in your hand standing by to push the button. As soon as the ignition switch clicks on the 5th time, hit the remote button. You'll see the light on the control module register the long range remote with a green blink. If you hear the final click of the parking lights before you hit the remote button, it's already too late. You'll have to start over. It's literally 1 click, 2 click, out of programming mode. Gotta catch it quickly.

Any idea when the 2020 "push to start" versions will be back in stock?
