Moving to Juneau

Hey so me and the wife maybe making a move to Juneau to help take care of her dad. Whats the wheelin situation like up there? I know it's an island but is there anywhere cool to go wheelin except on the beach? I dont mind having to drive to get somewhere. Thanks. When we get up there we will be also starting a new chapter to our car club. If anyone is interested.

I take it by the lack of responses and with the views that there is no where to go wheelin in juneau. Well that sucks.

Juneau is kind of a smaller community with limited roads. Doubting there are too many Juneau folks on this forum. I'm positive there are places to wheel. While there aren't any roads out of Juneau, it is not an island

I figured it was a long shot but what the hell. I did find that they were planning on making a orv park but from what i read that is going to for atv's and dirtbikes.

Once you get there and meet some folks you find out about the local trails. There has to be some. There are in nearly every town. Many just don't have a name other than "the trail out at the end of Johnson Road" or whatever the case may be.

Sign up on Alaska 4x4 Network - Powered by vBulletin Lots of good local info and if you were going to find any Juneau wheelers that would be the place.
