Im ready for my first oil change, what oil are you using?

I am just done breaking-in my 2006 SE, currently with 1050 miles, and I am planning to do an oil change using Mobil 1 synthetic oil.

Are you using 5W30, 10W30, or something else?

Please answer no matter what oil brand or oil type you are using, I just want to know what viscosity of oil are you using.

Thanks in advance.

5w30

If it's not required, don't waste your money.

I did my 1st oil change at...

1,200 (no oil filter replaced)
&
next will be at 3,000 (replaciing oil filter)
...and then every 3,000

Rotation at every other oil change (6,000)

Like Coralkillah said

Just a thought about our local Jiffylube here in Hawaii...a person I know had his vehicle's oil changed at Jiffylube somewhere here in Hawaii...I don't know which one and I'm not saying all of them are bad...just to be careful and like Coralkillah said, to watch them. Anyway, on with the story... this person had his oil changed and he drove off without a worry in the world. As he drove he heard his engine knocking or sounding weird...he pulled over and found out that whomever changed his oil, forgot to fill up the oil and it was almost empty! I admit, I wasn't there to actually see the dip stick but needless to say, he doesn't go to jiffylude anymore...so just be careful and like alot of people mentioned on this forum, changing oil yourself.....priceless!!!!
